Geophysical

Geophysical survey is the systematic collection of geophysical data for spatial studies. Geophysical surveys may use a great variety of sensing instruments, and data may be collected from above or below the Earth's surface or from aerial or marine platforms. Geophysical surveys have many applications in Earth science, archaeology, mineral and energy exploration, and engineering. Geophysical surveys are used in industry as well as for academic research.

GeoSwath Plus payloads with depth ratings of up to 4000 m can be readily integrated into any autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) or Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). With data coverage of up to 12 times the vehicle's fly altitude and low power consumption GeoSwath Plus offers unsurpassed efficiency for all military and civil survey applications.

The data can be processed in GeoTexture software to give bottom classification and texture analysis.

GeoSwath Plus is a Phase Measuring Bathymetric Sonar System. It simultaneously acquires swath bathymetry and side scan data. Its dual transducer configuration has a field of view of over 240º. The usable depth information is limited only by the strength of the signal scattered back from the seafloor, thus achieving a swath coverage of up to 12 times the water depth.

GeoSwath Plus is a productive survey tool for the shallow water environment.

The GeoAcoustics Sonar 2094 Digital simultaneously acquires side scan data at two frequencies, 114 and 410 kHz. The signals are directly digitised in the towfish and transmitted via a robust digital connection to the transceiver over a single coaxial cable. Data transmission, processing and filtering are fully digital and raw data over-sampling technology results in extended and optimised range and resolution.
